Each year, Bernick's gives back 5% of company profit to the community through fulfillment of donation requests. We’re proud to support the communities where we work and live.

Family Foundation

The Bernick family started the Bernick Family Foundation to honor the legacy of its company founders by continuing the tradition of supporting organizations consistent with the family’s core values, while providing leadership in responding to emerging community needs.

Grants

Our Foundation supports two key areas: health and fitness, and youth and education—programs that develop youth leadership skills, community involvement, and entrepreneurship. Annually, we contribute more than $100,000 to organizations through leadership and responding to emerging community needs—like supporting capital projects, new or expanded programs, or strategic investments in operations.

Eligible recipients include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, schools, and government entities and must be based in or serve one of the regions we operate in.

Scholarships

Our scholarship program was initiated to recognize area students excelling academically, socially, and working towards pursuing additional education. Each year, the Bernick Family Scholarship fund awards ten $2,000 scholarships.

Eligible recipients include high school seniors pursuing a full-time secondary education in a two-year technical or community college or a four-year college. Only seniors in Wisconsin and Minnesota served by Bernick’s are eligible.

School Donation Requests

Criteria for consideration:

The school must be within one of the school communities we serve.
Requests must be formally submitted via the Bernick’s online request form.
Bernick’s donations committee meets bi-monthly to review requests received.

Please submit your request at least four weeks in advance to ensure proper consideration.

The organization must be non-profit.
The event must be within one of the communities we serve.

Bernick's Family Fitness Series

In 2011, Bernick's partnered with the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA to help create the Bernick’s Family Fitness Series. Alongside the support and commitment of 104.7 KCLD, the St. Cloud Times, LOCALiQ, and other generous sponsors, we are able to bring four fitness events to Central Minnesota per year. These events are affordable, all-inclusive, and a true celebration of community.

Campus Brand Ambassador Program

Our Campus Brand Ambassadors build awareness of our brands through on campus representation, sharing our products with campus networks, and by posting Bernick’s brands to social media channels. Apply today!

Social Responsibility

Our business legacy means we’re a steward of responsibility, and we take that responsibility to heart. Sustainability, environmental impact, and alcohol moderation and safety are all pillars we support with dedication and intentionalism.

Sustainability

All beverage containers we sell and distribute are 100% recyclable. We use reusable plastic trays to distribute over 80% of our beverage products. The remaining products are distributed in recyclable corrugated boxes. All Bernick’s facilities have successful waste minimization programs in place. Waste has been reduced by 70% by working with our waste haulers and separating recyclable material from general trash.

Alcohol Safety

Bernick’s is a co-sponsor of the St. Cloud Hospitality Association’s Safe Cab Program. This program provides free rides home for restaurant and bar patrons 365 days a year. Law enforcement agencies acknowledge that designated driver and safe cab ride programs like these are one of the primary reasons drunk driving arrests and accidents continue to decline.
